Trick allegedly becomes SK Gaming’s new jungler

Korean jungler Trick joins SK Gaming for the 2020 LEC season

Korean jungler Kim “Trick” Gang-yun will be joining SK Gaming for the upcoming LEC season, according to ESPN. He will be taking on the role of the team’s starting jungler for 2020. This news comes as SK Gaming looks to fill the holes in their roster, particularly after the departure of support Han “Dreams” Min-kook to Schalke 04.

Trick previously played for Schalke 04 during the 2019 LEC Summer Split. His contribution helped elevate the team from seventh place in the spring to fourth place with a record of 11-7. They were eventually eliminated by Fnatic in the third round of the playoffs and lost to Splyce in the 2019 Regional Gauntlet.

According to a tweet by Jacob Wolf, SK Gaming has signed Trick and he will be staying in Europe for another season. This confirms the news reported by Esportmaniacos and ESPN.

The addition of the 24-year-old jungler to the SK Gaming roster is seen as a potential solution to the team’s lack of consistency in their debut year in the LEC. Trick will be replacing Oskar “Selfmade” Boderek, who had a successful year and even won the 2019 Spring Rookie of the Split award.

However, SK Gaming might face challenges in winning games due to the lack of firepower in most of their lanes. Only their AD carry, Juš “Crownshot” Marušič, is known for carrying games, but even he is prone to making mistakes due to his inexperience.

Trick’s experience and veteran presence will be crucial in providing stability to the team and calming them down during challenging moments.
