Top laner Chasy allegedly secures verbal agreement with MAD Lions for 2023.

MAD Lions Announce New Top Laner for Upcoming Season

MAD Lions, one of the top teams in the LEC, has reached a verbal agreement with their new top laner, Kim “Chasy” Dong-hyeon, according to a report by independent journalist Brieuc Seeger.

Replacing Armut

Chasy will be replacing the current top laner, İrfan Berk “Armut” Tükek, who joined MAD Lions in November 2020. Despite a dominant performance at Worlds with his iconic Wukong pick, Armut struggled to adapt to the meta and couldn’t keep up with other laners unless playing Gnar, Wukong, or Ornn.

Promising Record and Potential

Chasy, a young South Korean top laner, has already made a name for himself by playing for X7 Esports in the NLC and spending time with the renowned Korean team DWG KIA. According to Gol.gg, Chasy has played over 13 different champions on-stage and has an impressive win rate of 58.8% across all professional games. However, he will still have to prove himself as a big carry for MAD Lions and the entire European scene.

Stay tuned for more updates as MAD Lions finalize their roster for the upcoming LEC season.
