Top Esports surpass expectations by defeating EDG and climbing LPL rankings

Top Esports Secures Upset Win Over EDG in LPL

Top Esports (TES) continues its dominant run in the LPL with a surprising 2-1 victory over EDG. Despite starting off slow, TES has steadily climbed up the LPL rankings and extended their winning streak to four games.

EDG Struggles with Two-Game Losing Streak

Meanwhile, former LPL and World champions, EDG, find themselves in a slump with back-to-back losses. Although still favored for the postseason, EDG is running out of time to improve their performance before the regular season concludes.

TES Takes Commanding Lead in Game One

In the first game of the series, TES dominated and took an early lead. While EDG focused on TES’ bottom lane, TES’ Mark and Jackeylove held their ground and gained a slight advantage in gold. However, it was the young midlaner, Knight, who posed the biggest threat with his flanking angles on Vex, leading to TES’ most impactful plays and pushes. After securing an early Baron, TES easily closed out the game.

EDG Bounces Back in Game Two

In game two, EDG turned the tides with a commanding victory. A five-vs-five fight at only eight minutes gave EDG an early lead, which they maintained throughout the 22-minute match. By the end of the early game, EDG had a significant 12-kill lead and a 7,000 gold advantage. They continued to build on this advantage, eventually winning with a substantial gold lead of over 10,000.

TES Stages Comeback in Game Three

Game three initially seemed to be in EDG’s favor, with their momentum from the previous game carrying over. Despite Knight’s impressive team fighting on Vex, EDG managed to gain an initial lead by winning early skirmishes. However, TES turned the tides with a critical Baron play. They secured the neutral objective, leading to a victorious team fight orchestrated by Knight. In the final moments, TES snatched victory from the brink of defeat.

TES Display Resilience and Determination

Throughout the series, TES showcased resilience, overcoming a Dragon Soul and a substantial gold deficit. They capitalized on strategic engagements and made decisive plays to secure victory. Currently in the middle of the pack, TES will face their next challenge against the third-place team, LNG.
