Season Seven Highlights of the NA LCS
This past season of the League of Legends Championship Series in North America was one for the books. With the removal of relegation and an intense level of competition, teams fought hard for the top spot. TSM emerged as the champions, but other teams like Cloud9, CLG, Immortals, and Dignitas showed impressive performances.
The Greatest Plays of 2017 in the NA LCS
Thanks to the improved level of play in the NA LCS, we were treated to some incredible moments. Let’s take a look at the top seven plays of the season:
7) Smoothie’s Epic Play Against TSM
During the summer split, Andy “Smoothie” Ta’s Miss Fortune ultimate sealed TSM’s fate, allowing Cloud9 to secure the Baron and take the victory in the first game.
6) Doublelift’s Game-Changing Jinx Play
In a deciding fight against CLG, Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng’s Jinx came through with critical rockets, securing a triple kill and a victory for TSM in the last week of the summer split.
5) Xmithie’s Sneaky Baron Steal
Jake “Xmithie” Puchero managed to steal the Baron from Cloud9 in a close call during week three of the summer split.
4) Ryu’s Flash-Ult Combo
During the spring split, Ryu Sang-wook executed a masterful Flash-Ult combo on Cassiopeia, turning the tide in Phoenix1’s favor. This closely contested match in week three showcased Ryu’s skill.
3) LirA’s Game-Breaking Lee Sin Play
In the spring promotion tournament, Team Envy’s Nam “LirA” Tae-yoo showed his talent with a mind-blowing Lee Sin combo. This play demonstrated why LirA was considered one of the best junglers in the world.
2) Sneaky’s Famous Baron Steal
Zachary “Sneaky” Scuderi’s Jhin W Baron steal during week four of the spring split is one for the history books. It may have had an element of luck, but the surprise factor made it an unforgettable play.
1) Keane’s Miraculous Orianna Shockwave
In a game where Dignitas was significantly behind in gold, Jang “Keane” Lae-young pulled off an incredible Orianna Shockwave, leading to a winning teamfight. Despite their ultimate loss, this play showcased Keane’s skills.
