This year’s MSI skin announced: Conqueror Varus!

Conqueror Varus to be Featured Skin for Mid-Season Invitational

Attention League of Legends fans! The highly anticipated Mid-Season Invitational is just around the corner, and this year’s featured skin will be Conqueror Varus.

The skin was recently added to the PBE (Public Beta Environment) in the latest update following Patch 8.7. However, it is unlikely to be released alongside Patch 8.8 in two weeks. Instead, it will most likely be unveiled right before the start of the MSI in May, just like last year’s Conqueror Karma.

While Riot Games has yet to make an official announcement regarding the skin, we can assume that it will have a similar purpose to last year’s Conqueror Karma—boosting the MSI prize pool.

Last year, sales from the MSI skin for Karma contributed around $1.4 million to the prize pool, and that was only after the group stage had ended.

Conqueror Varus shares many similarities with his Karma counterpart. The skin features a black, gold, and red color scheme, along with custom ability effects and a new recall animation. However, the sound effects are not expected to be drastically altered, as the skin falls into the lower price range category.

Despite its simpler design compared to higher priced skins, Conqueror Varus still looks pretty cool. It is priced for mass appeal, encouraging more players to support their favorite teams or the eventual winners of MSI.

Mark your calendars—MSI begins on May 3rd!
