This unusual League of Legends duo is gradually dominating solo queue

Unusual Duo Takes Over the Bottom Lane in League of Legends

The bottom lane in League of Legends has seen a rise in the presence of unconventional champions. Recently, an unconventional duo has emerged and started dominating the position.

The duo consists of the standard AD carry, Ezreal, and the unusual support pick, Shaco. Shockingly, they currently boast a 54.32 percent win rate in all ranks, according to the U.GG stat site.

The Duo’s Success Is Not a Surprise

Contrary to popular belief, the duo didn’t suddenly appear in Patch 13.15. They have been in the game for some time now, and their win rate has continually improved with each patch. In Patch 13.14, they ranked eighth in terms of win rate with an impressive 53.29 percent in Platinum+ ranks. In the previous update, they placed 21st with a win rate of 52.99 percent, as reported by U.GG.

Support Shaco’s Strengths and Buffs

Shaco received minor buffs in Patch 13.14, which contribute to the duo’s success. His Q ability was enhanced, especially the AD converter and critical strike damage on Backstab. Interestingly, support Shaco players do not build AD items but prefer AP options like Liandry’s Anguish and Zhonya’s Hourglass.

Poke and Positioning Advantage

One of the reasons behind this duo’s dominance is their ability to poke. Ezreal is known to be a tricky champion to play against due to his low mana cost on his Q ability, turning him into a poke machine. With Shaco’s presence, bot lane players face even more challenges in positioning themselves, especially with Shaco’s Jack in the Box. Being surprised and feared by these traps allows Ezreal and Shaco to deal additional free damage through their Q and E abilities, respectively.

Overall, this unusual duo has taken the League of Legends bottom lane by storm, showcasing their unique strength and playstyle.
