The Unrivaled Dominance of Two Mid Lane Tanks in Patch 13.1

Two Tanks Dominate the Mid Lane in League of Legends

The mid lane in League of Legends is typically the domain of mages and assassins. However, recently, two tanks have risen to prominence in this role. Singed and Zac currently hold the highest win rates in the Platinum+ rankings, with 55.13% and 54.17% respectively, according to U.GG.

One of the reasons for the success of these tanks is the addition of the Radiant Virtue item to the game. This item provides a 10% increase in maximum health, as well as healing and a significant boost to allies’ ability to haste. As a result, Singed and Zac have become formidable teamfighters and valuable assets to have on your side.

In addition, the Radiant Virtue item allows Singed and Zac to roam efficiently from as early as level six. With their unique abilities, they can easily gank other lanes. Furthermore, the item also enhances the statistics of their allies, making it difficult for enemies to survive their coordinated attacks.

Although it is uncommon for tanks to achieve such high win rates in the game, it is unlikely that this will change in the upcoming Patch 13.2. There are currently no plans to make any adjustments to Radiant Virtue, Singed, or Zac.

Pro Players Express Displeasure with the Meta

The dominance of Singed and Zac in the mid lane has not been well received by some professional players. Humanoid from Fnatic expressed his dissatisfaction with the meta on Twitter on Jan. 13. He sarcastically commented on Singed’s “perma roaming highest winrate mid,” and mentioned that it can be countered by Zac, the second highest winrate mid, by simply not laning and focusing on roaming instead.

While these tanks continue to dominate the mid lane, it remains to be seen how the meta will evolve in the future.
