The outcome of League of Legends Patch 13.1B: Who came out on top

League of Legends Patch 13.2 Delayed Due to Social Engineering Attack

League of Legends updates have faced disruptions recently because of a targeted “social engineering attack” on Riot Games. As a result, Patch 13.2 has been postponed. However, a micropatch will be released on Thursday, Jan. 26, with some changes to the game. The remaining planned adjustments will be included in Patch 13.2 at a later date.

Champion Changes in Patch 13.1B

Although Patch 13.1B is considered a micropatch, it includes adjustments to several powerful and popular champions. Numerous buffs and nerfs will be implemented along with some system changes. The complete list of patch notes can be found here.

In anticipation of Patch 13.1B, these adjustments are expected to have a significant impact on the meta. The nerfs will especially impact some of the best champions in the game. While it is challenging to predict the future, there are certain expectations leading up to the release of Patch 13.1B.

A total of 10 champions will be affected by nerfs in Patch 13.1B, making most of them losers—except for Kassadin and Kindred, who will undergo minimal changes. However, the other eight champions may fall out of favor following the patch.

Champions such as Heimerdinger, Lucian, Maokai, Nami, Ryze, Udyr, and Yuumi are widely chosen in their respective roles. The developers have focused on making adjustments to each of them, which may not render them unplayable, but will prevent them from being instant picks or bans.

Yuumi, the Magical Cat, is likely to be the biggest loser with nerfs to her passive, W, and E abilities. While each nerf may not seem significant individually, the combined effect will redefine Yuumi’s support role. These changes are expected to have a greater impact in professional play rather than regular solo queue matches. Players who dislike encountering Yuumi or any of these champions in solo queue can look forward to their nerfs.

Other champions that can be considered losers are those reliant on healing. With changes to Grevious Wounds items, the healing capabilities of champions throughout the game will be less impactful. However, some items that apply Grevious Wounds will have their other statistics updated as well, making it difficult to accurately predict how the meta will shape up.

Identifying the winners of League Patch 13.1B is straightforward, as the upcoming changes to marksmen will greatly benefit AD carry mains. The developers have boosted the base stats of several AD carry champions, which will improve their laning phases and scaling.

Additionally, the balance team has made adjustments to major AD carry items such as Navori Quickblades, Bloodthirster, and Infinity Edge, providing small buffs that enhance early game performance for marksmen.

Patch 13.1B is scheduled to go live on Thursday, Jan. 26.
