The League World Championship: A Brief Recap of Teemo’s History

Teemo’s History at League of Legends Worlds

Teemo, the Swift Scout, has had a sporadic presence at the League of Legends Worlds, making only a few appearances throughout the years.

Teemo’s Unpopularity in Competitive Play

Teemo is considered one of the least popular champions in competitive League of Legends due to his lack of crowd control and weak teamfighting abilities. Many other champions can fulfill his role more effectively.

Teemo’s Brief Moments at Worlds

Despite his unpopularity, Teemo has still made an appearance at the Worlds tournament. In 2011, Teemo was picked twice by TSM’s TheRainMan, winning one game and losing another. In 2013, TSM once again chose Teemo for a meaningless game against GamingGear.EU. However, Teemo remained absent from Worlds from 2014 to 2021.

Teemo’s Return in Worlds 2022

Teemo’s long absence from Worlds ended in 2022 when Isurus’ top laner ADD picked him against Royal Never Give Up during the play-in stage. Unfortunately, Isurus lost the game decisively, and ADD’s performance on Teemo was less than stellar.
