The initial preview of Rengar’s rework showcases significant similarities to his previous kit

Rengar, the League of Legends Champion, Set to Undergo Another Update

Rengar, the popular champion in League of Legends, is gearing up for yet another update, as confirmed by game designer David Capurro on Twitter. This will be the umpteenth rework for this beloved feline fighter.

The upcoming changes, however, seem to be more of a revert than a complete overhaul. The sneak peek shared by Capurro showcases Rengar with five bars of Ferocity and his Q ability functioning as an enhanced basic attack, similar to how it was prior to the November 2016 update.

With the Q ability being a basic attack reset once more, it’s likely that Rengar’s passive, Bonetooth Necklace, will also receive an update. At present, the passive grants bonus AD, which synergizes well with the two basic attack resets from Q and empowered Q.

In the past, the passive provided utility enhancements, such as increased leap range and enhanced speed during his ultimate, without directly boosting his damage. If the passive undergoes a rework, it will likely take a similar direction to avoid making Rengar too powerful with his new (or rather, old) Q ability.

Unfortunately, no specific timeline has been given for Rengar’s update. However, with gameplay footage making its way to the public, it’s hoped that the update is not too far off.
