The champion who excels in LoL’s mid lane is also the weakest in the jungle.

Why Naafiri Excels in the Mid Lane but Struggles in the Jungle

In League of Legends, certain champions thrive in one position but falter in others. This is especially true for one of the game’s newest champions, Naafiri.

Naafiri has emerged as one of the strongest mid laners in League, boasting an impressive win rate of 52.22% in all ranks, as reported by U.GG. Although she also has the potential to be a jungler, her win rate in that role is currently abysmal at 44.64%.

As an assassin, Naafiri’s abilities make her suitable for both positions. However, the data clearly indicates that she is currently only viable as a mid laner. It’s unlikely that this will change any time soon.

Recently, on July 25, Stephen “Raptorr” Auker, one of the developers at League of Legends, revealed that Riot Games intends to make changes to Naafiri’s jungle performance to improve her win rate. However, the developers first plan to focus on balancing her in the mid lane.

In Patch 13.15, which launched on August 2, Naafiri was initially supposed to receive nerfs. However, Riot Games decided not to weaken her performance in the mid lane as they believe she is currently in a healthy state.

With the mid lane set aside, we can anticipate upcoming changes to Naafiri’s jungle performance. However, the developers must proceed with caution since any adjustments could potentially impact her performance in the mid lane as well. They aim to avoid turning her into a champion that requires constant updates with every patch.
