Teemo Secures First LCK Victory

Teemo Finally Finds Victory in LCK Thanks to Griffin

Teemo, a champion with a funny history in the LCK, has finally claimed its first win in almost three years, all thanks to Griffin.

In 2016, Teemo was unintentionally picked by CJ Entus and KT Rolster in LCK matches as a result of accidents and playful antics. Both teams were unable to call for a remake and had to play—and ultimately lose—with Teemo.

However, Griffin took a different approach in their match against MVP by purposefully picking Teemo. ADC carry Park “Viper” Do-hyeon explained that Teemo was a prepared strategy and that they took advantage of an opportunity to use the champion effectively against an opponent with low sustain in lane.

During the game, Griffin’s bot lane dominated, pushing MVP’s duo all the way to their inner turret. From there, Griffin’s jungler initiated a successful dive, resulting in two kills for the team.

While Viper’s Teemo pick was notable, mid laner Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon’s Yasuo stole the show, completely outclassing his opponent. Viper’s Teemo played a supporting role with his blind and mushrooms.

Despite this victory, Teemo is unlikely to become a common pick in LCK due to being a highly situational champion that requires specific setups to be effective.

Nevertheless, congratulations to Teemo on its first LCK win!
