Teasers hint at potential new Italian operators for Rainbow Six: Siege

New Operators Teased in Rainbow Six: Siege Tweet

The official Twitter account of Rainbow Six: Siege has posted a mysterious tweet, hinting at the arrival of new operators in the game. The tweet features an image of a tiled roof or wall along with the Latin phrase, “Si vis pacem, para bellum,” which translates to “if you want peace, prepare for war.” While the tweet does not specify which operators this refers to, the origins of the phrase provide a clue.

The phrase was first used by Latin author Publius Flavius Vegetius Renatus in a book called “De Re Militari,” which detailed the military strategy and warfare principles of the Roman Empire. However, the phrase had an earlier incarnation in Greek, used by Plato. Over time, the phrase has been adopted and modified by various entities such as Napoleon Bonaparte, Nazi Germany, the United States Congress, Japan, the Chinese Shi Ji, and numerous military and naval operations worldwide.

Last month, leaks on the Siege Reddit community revealed Italian operators, which aligns with the famous origin of the phrase in Ubisoft’s tweet. This suggests that the new operators will likely be Italian.

It may take some time before these new operators become available, considering the timeline of previous operator reveals and releases.
