Team WE dominates Oh My God, moves forward to face Bilibili Gaming in the next round of the 2021 LPL Summer Split playoffs.

Team WE Dominates Oh My God in LPL Summer Playoffs

Team WE showcased their dominance in a clean 3-0 series victory against Oh My God (OMG) in the first round of the 2021 LPL Summer Split playoffs. Mid laner Shanks and jungler beishang were the standout players, earning the most valuable player (MVP) votes for their stellar performances.

Shanks secured the first two MVP votes by showcasing his skills on LeBlanc in two different matchups. He outplayed his opponents, including Sylas and Syndra, and controlled the game. In the last match, beishang secured his MVP vote with a phenomenal performance on Xin Zhao, finishing the game with a score of 8/0/9.

Despite being favored, Team WE had a formidable opponent in OMG. OMG had caused numerous upsets against top-tier teams during the regular season, thanks in large part to their mid-laner Creme’s impressive performances on Sylas. However, Team WE proved too strong for them in this series.

The first game showcased Team WE’s early game dominance. Shanks on LeBlanc secured multiple kills, and the team converted their leads into massive gold advantages. Despite Creme picking up his signature champion Sylas, he couldn’t prevent Shanks from snowballing and destroying his teammates. Team WE finished the game convincingly in just 29 minutes. AD carry Elk also played a crucial role, making impactful plays on Vayne.

In the second match, OMG tried to counter Shanks’ LeBlanc by adjusting their draft, but it was in vain. Shanks continued to dominate the game on LeBlanc and displayed exceptional skills. Creme attempted to counter with Syndra, but it didn’t work. Team WE secured a quick second victory.

OMG learned their lesson in the final match and banned LeBlanc to give Creme a chance to shine. Shanks had a comparatively lackluster performance, but the rest of Team WE stepped up. Beishang’s Xin Zhao played a crucial role in controlling the early game and leading the team to a clean sweep.

In the next round of the playoffs on Sunday, Aug. 15, Team WE will face Bilibili Gaming for a chance to advance further. The winner of that series will go up against Rare Atom in the third round. OMG, unfortunately, has been eliminated from the playoffs.
