Team SoloMid triumphs over Cloud9 in unbeaten week

Team SoloMid (TSM) Shows Improvement in LCS Summer Split

Team SoloMid (TSM), one of the most well-known League of Legends franchises, struggled in the first three weeks of the League Championship Series Summer Split. With a 4-4 record, they found themselves in the bottom half of the standings. The new players, Nicolas “Gleeb” Haddad and Maurice “Amazing” Stückenschneider, were having difficulty fitting into the team.

Impressive 2-0 Streak Lifts TSM

However, things took a turn in the following week. Team SoloMid managed to secure two wins, defeating the defending LCS champions Cloud9 and Complexity. This boosted their record to 6-4, just one game behind the first-place team. Although Cloud9 has not been performing up to their usual standards this season, the victory was significant for TSM, as they have struggled against Cloud9 since joining the LCS.

Players Shine in Recent Matches

In their recent matches, Stückenschneider and mid-lane superstar Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg showed their playmaking abilities. For example, Bjerg secured an impressive double kill as Yasuo against Complexity in a one versus two situation. Stückenschneider posted a 9/1/23 KDA for the week, while Bjerg contributed with a 7/3/24 tally. This also allowed Jason “WildTurtle” Tran, who hasn’t performed well statistically this season, to achieve a 19/1/14 KDA.

Positive Influence of Coach LocoDoco

Coach Yoonsup “Locodoco” Choi seems to have made a positive impact on TSM since joining the team. Although it’s only been a week, Choi has brought a calming presence to the team, allowing their individual talents to shine. In the past, TSM struggled in champion select, putting them at a disadvantage before the game even started. However, with Choi’s guidance, they appeared to have a solid plan and executed it successfully.

Looking Ahead

While TSM’s 2-0 record for the week was impressive, they will need to continue performing well to remain competitive throughout the season. Currently tied for fourth with a 6-4 record, they will face Dignitas, the most consistent team of the split, next week. With their talented roster and the guidance of Choi, TSM has the potential to achieve great success this season.
