Team SoloMid hosts tryouts as YellOwStaR returns to Europe

Team SoloMid Announces Tryouts for Support Position

Team SoloMid (TSM) has recently announced that they will be conducting tryouts for the support position for the upcoming summer split. This decision comes after Bora “YellOwStaR” Kim, their renowned support star, expressed his desire to return to Europe.

YellOwStaR Achievements and Transition to TSM

YellOwStaR has gained recognition as one of the top League of Legends captains in the West during his time with Fnatic. Under his leadership, Fnatic underwent a complete roster rebuild and achieved two consecutive LCS victories, as well as a spot in the 2015 League of Legends World Championship semifinals.

However, YellOwStaR’s performance with TSM did not live up to expectations. The team had a tumultuous season, initially being favored as a potential league winner due to their star-studded roster. Unfortunately, they experienced numerous setbacks throughout the regular spring split. Despite this, the seasoned LCS veterans were able to secure a playoff spot as the lowest seed and went on to eliminate Cloud 9 and the regular season titans, Immortals, before falling to CLG in a thrilling final.

Open Tryouts and Search for Replacement

TSM will now be conducting open tryouts to find a replacement for Kim. They are open to considering players from any region as long as they can communicate effectively in English. While there may not be any immediate obvious replacements, it is common practice for teams to release players between LCS splits, meaning the open spot will likely be filled soon.
