Team Liquid’s qualification for the knockout stage at MSI 2019 is dependent on playing a tiebreaker in 16 out of 64 scenarios.

The Final Day of MSI 2019 Group Stage: Who Will Make it to the Knockout Stage?

The MSI 2019 group stage is coming to a close, and we are still waiting to see which teams will advance to the knockout stage in Taipei. So far, Invictus Gaming, G2 Esports, and SK Telecom T1 have secured their spots.

One More Spot Up for Grabs

There is one more spot available for the remaining teams to fight over. Team Liquid, Flash Wolves, and Phong Vũ Buffalo will battle it out for a chance at greatness. Tomorrow’s matches will determine Team Liquid’s fate, and they could possibly end up in a tiebreaker in 16 out of 64 possible scenarios.

Team Liquid’s Chances

In 44 of the scenarios, Team Liquid will qualify for the knockout stage without the need for a tiebreaker match. They will play a tiebreaker in 16 of the scenarios, and they will fail to qualify in only four situations. The odds seem to be in favor of the LCS champions.

The Tough Competition

Team Liquid faces tough competition in their upcoming matches. First, they will go up against SK Telecom T1, a team they have not beaten in the tournament so far. Next, they will face G2 Esports, who are considered the second-best team in the tournament. If Team Liquid can win a game against either of these opponents, their chances of moving forward will greatly increase.

Watching Flash Wolves and Phong Vũ Buffalo

Liquid fans will also need to keep an eye on how Flash Wolves and Phong Vũ Buffalo perform in their matches. If Flash Wolves win at least one game, they will be tied with TL at a 3-6 record and a tiebreaker will be necessary. There is a good chance that Team Liquid might lose both of their matches, making the situation even more interesting.

Don’t miss out on the action! Tune in on Tuesday, May 14 to see who will make it to the knockout stage.
