Team Liquid’s Academy Roster Recorded on Riot’s Contract Database

Team Liquid Confirms Academy Roster for 2018 Season

According to Riot’s contract database, Team Liquid has finalized its academy roster for the upcoming season.

Mid laner Son “Mickey” Young-min, who started for Team Liquid last split, has joined the Academy team along with former Echo Fox jungler Anthony “Hard” Barkhovtsev and former CLG substitute support Joseph “Joey” Haslemann.

Completing the roster, Team Liquid has recruited two rookie players: top laner Omran “repiV” Shoura and ADC Quentin “Shoryu” Pereira.

Mickey was one of the two mid laners who played for Team Liquid during the 2017 Summer Split. He joined the team in July 2017, replacing former starting mid laner Greyson “Goldenglue” Gilmer, who now plays as the starting mid laner for Cloud9 Academy. Mickey and Goldenglue were part of the Liquid roster that finished ninth in the NA LCS Summer Season.

Hard played for Echo Fox in the 2016 season before parting ways at the end of the year. Since then, he has remained teamless. Joey, on the other hand, had limited playtime on CLG after joining the organization in February 2017, mainly due to Zaqueri “aphromoo” Black’s dominance in the role. Joey notably joined forces with aphromoo in March against Immortals after CLG’s ADC Trevor “Stixxay” Hayes fell ill.

The specific matches for the NA LCS Academy League, which begins on January 18, have yet to be determined.
