Team Liquid welcomes public applications for coaching positions

New Head Coach Wanted by Team Liquid

After another disappointing failed qualification for the World Championship, North American League of Legends giant, Team Liquid, is opening its application process to the public in search of a new head coach.

Former coach Peter “Peter” Zhang stepped down from the role on Sept. 7, leaving many fans and analysts hoping that assistant coach Mark “MarkZ” Zimmerman would take over. However, Team Liquid has chosen a different path.

Qualifications and Salary Options

The job posting on the Team Liquid website mentions a preference for candidates with five or more years of previous experience in traditional sports. The organization is offering two salary options: $32,000 a year with all living, health insurance, and food expenses covered, or $55,000 a year with health insurance coverage only.

Following the Trend of Traditional Sports Staff

Following the success of Counter Logic Gaming, who hired a sports management graduate as their head coach, Team Liquid is looking to replicate their peer’s achievements. The team hopes that the new coach can help them qualify for the World Championship, especially with the presence of bilingual players Kim “FeniX” Jae-hoon and Chae “Piglet” Gwang-jin.

The organization aims to choose its new coach from the pool of applicants by the end of September.
