T1 extends winning streak in LCK 2022 by narrowly defeating DWG KIA in 2-1 series.

T1 Continues Unbeaten Streak with Reverse Sweep Against DWG KIA

In a thrilling showdown, T1 emerged victorious against DWG KIA and maintained their unbeaten record in the LCK 2022 Spring Split.

DWG KIA has been struggling in the Korean tournament, despite making roster changes. On the other hand, T1, led by Faker, have had a dream start to their campaign, winning every series in the LCK Spring Split.

A Dramatic Series

The matches between these two teams lived up to the fans’ expectations. The first match was a back-and-forth affair, lasting 55 minutes. Both teams showed equal strength and took advantage of every opportunity they had.

DK started strong with kills in the bot lane, but T1 made a comeback with a kill from Faker’s Ryze. T1 displayed their strategic play and took down towers to exert pressure. However, DK turned the tide by winning a Baron fight.

T1 did not back down and fought hard. With Jayce’s poke damage, they won a teamfight and delayed the Soul Dragon for their opponents. They also secured the Baron, mitigating the pressure from DK. Although DK managed to secure the Infernal Soul, T1 made picks on their enemies to stay in the game. DK broke into T1’s base with the Elder Dragon but could not finish the match. In the end, DK secured the dragon and defeated T1 to conclude the first match.

T1’s Dominant Performance

In the second match, T1 dominated the game. Faker secured the first blood with a gank from Oner and Keria. T1 set the pace of the match, obtaining all the objectives. They broke into the enemy base with the Rift Herald and extended their gold lead. T1 secured the Baron and demolished the DK players with Zeus’ Gwen.

T1 pushed through the lanes, securing inhibitors and nullifying DK’s comeback attempts. With the Cloud Soul and another Baron buff, T1 marched through the mid lane and won the second game with ease. Gumayusi had a remarkable performance with his Aphelios, but the entire T1 team played exceptionally well.

A Resounding Reverse Sweep

The last match started with a surprising invade from Canyon, giving DK an early advantage. Despite T1’s attempts and kills in the bot lane, DK secured the first Baron and sieged T1’s base. However, T1 punished DK’s aggression with a flank.

In the next Baron fight, T1 killed Canyon’s Gwen, allowing them to secure the objective. T1 cleaned up the remaining opponents and marched through the bot lane. DK’s efforts to turn the match around failed, and T1 completed the reverse sweep.

With this dominating victory, T1 remains the only unbeaten team in the tournament. They will face Hanwha Life Esports in the next match of the LCK Spring Split 2022 on Feb. 9, 2022.
