T1 bids farewell to coach Comet and analyst Tolki

T1 Says Goodbye to Coach “Comet” and French Head of Strategy “Tolki”

The powerhouse team T1, known for its success in League of Legends, has announced the departure of coach Lim “Comet” Hye-sung and French head of strategy and analytics Gary “Tolki” Mialaret.

Tolki has revealed his free agency for the 2021 season, while Comet has yet to announce his future plans.

A Challenging Season for T1

T1 had a strong performance in the 2020 LCK Spring Split, winning the regional title. However, they faced disappointing results in the Mid-Season Cup and LCK Summer Playoffs, finishing fifth.

In the regional finals, T1 suffered a 3-0 loss against Gen.G, missing out on a spot in the 2020 World Championship.

Rebuilding Ahead of the 2021 Season

Following the end of the competitive year, T1 has started to rebuild their roster. Head coach Kim Jeong-Soo resigned in September, leaving three vacant spots in the coaching staff.

Many fans of the SKT T1 domination era are hopeful for the return of coach KkOma, who recently left Vici Gaming. However, KkOma has not yet revealed his plans for the 2021 season.

Changes Await T1

While no changes have been announced among the players, the departure of Comet and Tolki leaves three openings in T1’s coaching staff.

The team is actively looking for replacements as they prepare for the upcoming season.
