Surprising Moment as Faker Demonstrates Even Top League Players Can Err

Greatest Competitors Make Mistakes: Faker’s Embarrassing Jungle Error

Even the greatest competitors can make mistakes, and even esports legends like Faker are not exempt.

The GOAT of League of Legends, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, recently made an awful mistake during a solo queue game. Playing as Bel’Veth jungle, T1’s mid laner died to a blue buff at level one, which was caught on Tyler1’s stream.

Faker was likely auto-filled to the jungle position since he usually plays mid in solo queue. While he’s not a professional jungler, he should know the basics of the role. But even a three-time World Champion and Worlds 2022 finalist isn’t always perfect.

During the game, the 26-year-old received a leash from his top laner, Fiora. After getting the blue buff’s health down to around 600, Faker moved towards the Grump, likely trying to save time.

Unfortunately, Faker took a step too far and lost aggro on the Blue Sentinel, causing it to reset and regain almost all of its health. He then attempted to finish the Grump, but triggered the Blue Sentinel’s aggro again, resulting in a shameful level-one death.

Tyler1 tried to defend Faker by suggesting that the server might have been lagging. However, regardless of the circumstances, it remains an embarrassing and amusing mistake for the pro player. According to OP.GG, Faker ended up losing the game in 30 minutes with a 1.11 KDA ratio.

Faker will be returning to action at Worlds 2022 in the finals on November 5th.
