Surprising LPL Team Rare Atom Defeats V5, Climbs Upper Ranks in 2021 Spring Split

Rare Atoms Emerges as Strong Contender in LPL Spring Split with Convincing Win over Victory Five

While some teams in the LPL are struggling to find their momentum this year, Rare Atoms has emerged as a dark horse, solidifying their claim as one of the top teams this split. With another convincing 2-0 victory over Victory Five, Rare Atoms showcased their strong mental fortitude and ability to climb back from losing situations.

The MVP votes for today’s game went to rising stars Leyan and iBoy. Eighteen-year-old jungler Leyan had a dominant performance on Nidalee, contributing to nine out of the ten kills his team secured throughout the match. On the other hand, RA’s ADC, iBoy, used Tristana strategically to keep his team afloat and make a remarkable comeback from a 6,800 gold deficit.

The first game of the matchup saw Leyan leading Rare Atoms to a massive lead with his exceptional Nidalee plays. They capitalized on this advantage, securing objectives and ending the game in just 28 minutes.

In the second game, with Leyan’s Nidalee banned, both teams drafted differently, and Victory Five seemed to have the upper hand. They held a significant lead after successful teamfights. However, iBoy stepped up in the late game with his outstanding Tristana performance, leading Rare Atoms to a clean sweep over Victory Five.

Rare Atom, formerly known as Vici Gaming, has shown significant improvement this split. After years of mediocre performances, they are now climbing up the standings and surprising many. Rare Atoms currently sits at third place in the 2021 LPL Spring Split standings with a record of 9-3. Their next match will be against the 2018 world champions, Invictus Gaming, on Saturday, March 13.
