Stixxay Departs CLG After 5 Years

CLG’s Longtime League of Legends Player Stixxay Departs After Five Years

After spending five years with CLG, one of the longest-standing players in League of Legends, AD carry Stixxay, has left the organization. CLG announced today that the 23-year-old has been released. Stixxay had a mixed career with CLG, but it’s reported that he will be playing in the LCS next year after spending time on CLG’s Academy and main roster.

Stixxay Likely to Join Golden Guardians as Starting Bot Laner

Golden Guardians, who secured a top-six finish in the 2020 LCS Summer Split, is rumored to be signing Stixxay as their starting bot laner. League reporter Travis Gafford reported this news. This move comes after Golden Guardians transferred FBI to 100 Thieves on Nov. 16.

Challenging 2020 Season for CLG

CLG had a tough 2020 LCS Spring Split, only managing to win three matches. Stixxay was benched in March but was later brought back into the team. In the 2020 LCS Summer Split, CLG finished in ninth place with a 5-13 record.

Stixxay’s Legacy and Past Successes with CLG

Despite CLG’s disappointing 2020 season, Stixxay was part of the organization’s talented lineup that almost defeated SKT in 2016. That year, CLG finished first in the NA LCS Spring Split and came in second at the Mid-Season Invitational.
