Steeelback becomes part of ROCCAT

ROCCAT Signs Rising Talent steeelback to Boost Bottom Lane

ROCCAT, after a disappointing spring split, has made a crucial move to strengthen their bottom lane by signing Europe’s up-and-coming talent, Pierre “steeelback” Medjaldi.

Adding steeelback to their roster is a vital step in rebuilding the team. The French AD Carry gained recognition after an outstanding performance in the 2016 Spring Split as a member of the Unicorns of Love. He topped the KDA count for AD Carries with an impressive overall tally of 6.1 throughout the regular split.

ROCCAT is hopeful that steeelback will continue to deliver exceptional gameplay in the upcoming Summer Split, helping the team bounce back from a disastrous showing in the 2016 European Spring Split.

Unfortunately, this year has not been favorable for ROCCAT. In late 2015, three of their star players, Erlend “Nukeduck” Våtevik Holm, Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski, and Oskar “VandeR” Bogdan, left the team for Vitality and H2K. In response, ROCCAT underwent a complete revamp by recruiting Edward “Edward” Abgaryan and Simon “fredy122” Payne to lead an entirely new team.

Many analysts and pundits quickly dismissed the roster, expecting it to be one of the weaker teams in Europe. And indeed, ROCCAT had their worst split ever, finishing 9th on the table.

Realizing the need for change, ROCCAT replaced three of their players for the Summer Split. The addition of steeelback marks the beginning of their rebuilding journey, taking a solid first step towards improvement.
