Splyce ascends to second place in EU LCS ahead of final week

Splyce Emerges as Strong Contender in EU LCS

Splyce, a team that was nearly relegated a few months ago, has risen to the second place in the EU LCS standings. However, the competition is still fierce as the league enters its final week.

Despite losing only two matches this season, Splyce managed to defeat top teams Fnatic and H2k-Gaming, allowing them to surpass Fnatic in the standings.

Splyce’s Path to the Summer Playoffs

If Splyce can secure victories against Unicorns of Love and struggling team Origen in their final two games, they will secure at least the second seed for the Summer Playoffs. This is a remarkable accomplishment considering the team’s position just a few months ago.

G2 Esports continues to hold onto the top spot in the standings, with wins against Schalke 04 and Unicorns of Love. They have already secured a top playoff spot and need just two points in the final week to finish first.

On the other hand, Fnatic had a disappointing week, losing to Splyce and only managing to earn one point against Origen.

Potential Playoff Shake-Up

The current playoff quarterfinal spots are occupied by Giants Gaming, H2k, Unicorns of Love, and Fnatic. However, both Team Vitality and FC Schalke 04 have the opportunity to knock Unicorns or H2k out of contention.

The scenarios for the playoffs are varied and complicated. With match-ups between Vitality and Schalke, and Unicorns of Love and H2k-Gaming, each team has the chance to eliminate their opponents from the running.

Roccat Confirmed for 2017 Spring Promotion Tournament

Despite securing their second win of the season against Schalke, Roccat will still have to face the 2017 Spring Promotion tournament.
