Sneaky Takes on Mid-Lane for All-Stars Debut

League of Legends All-Star event returns to its roots

Last year’s League of Legends All-Star event was a departure from the meme-filled, lighthearted All-Stars of the past. Riot tried to make it more competitive and serious, but it ended up being a bit disappointing. However, there is good news for fans this year.

This year’s event seems to be returning to its roots. The opening game between EU and NA was filled with the hilarity and clown fiestas that fans hope for. Streamers Michael “Imaqtpie” Santana and Rabia “Nightblue3” Yazbek participated, Tyler “Tyler1” Steinkamp did the post-game interviews, and Zachary “Sneaky” Scuderi played as North America’s mid laner. And the surprising part? He played pretty well.

Although he probably won’t be replacing Greyson “Goldenglue” Gilmer in Cloud9’s mid lane anytime soon, Sneaky had some impressive moments during the game.

In addition to getting one of the highest kill counts in the opening match, Sneaky also carried his team through some crucial fights they would have otherwise lost.

Although there were some moments of sloppiness, like his dive against Daniele “Jiizuke” di Mauro at the beginning of the game, Sneaky still performed well on LeBlanc.

While we wish we could say that Sneaky’s choice of LeBlanc means he’ll be cosplaying as her next, that remains just a dream. We’ll have to settle for watching him dominate the EU team a little bit more at All-Stars.
