Sneaky suggests that players criticize Aphelios due to a lack of understanding

Sneaky Weighs in on Aphelios’ Controversial Kit

Zachary “Sneaky” Scuderi, the legendary AD carry, recently shared his thoughts on the highly debated topic of League of Legends’ newest marksman, Aphelios.

During his Twitch broadcast last night, Sneaky addressed the complaints about Aphelios’ alleged overpowered kit, stating that players only complain because they lack knowledge about the champion’s abilities.

In Sneaky’s own words, “My whole point is that I think everyone doesn’t even know what they’re complaining about when they complain about Aphelios. I haven’t even seen anyone talk about any of his problems. They’re just like ‘I don’t know what the champion does… I’m high elo and I don’t even know what it does.'”

He compared Aphelios to Ekko, a champion he previously believed had an “overloaded kit.” However, after taking the time to learn Ekko’s abilities, he discovered that it wasn’t as complicated as it initially seemed. Sneaky believes that players need to invest time in understanding Aphelios’ ability kit before declaring him overpowered.

Sneaky’s insights are supported by Aphelios’ subpar win rate of 48.5% in Patch 10.2, according to Champion.gg.

Although he acknowledged that an indicator for Aphelios’ weapons would be beneficial, allowing opponents and teammates to see his weapons and the remaining ammo, he emphasized the importance of understanding the champion’s abilities.

In tomorrow’s Patch 10.3, Aphelios will undergo another round of nerfs, specifically targeting the marksman’s infinite range.
