SKT’s Absence at MSI Marks a Historic First for Korea: The Inside Story

SK Telecom T1 Knocked Out of LCK Playoffs by KT Rolster

SK Telecom T1 was eliminated from the LCK playoffs by long-time rivals KT Rolster. This marks the first time in history that SKT will not represent the LCK at the Mid-Season Invitational.

Ucal Shines in Victory

KT substitute mid laner Son “Ucal” Woo-hyeon played a crucial role in his team’s victory. Despite facing the formidable opponent Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, Ucal successfully held him off throughout the entire series. Ucal’s performance will be vital in the upcoming match against Afreeca Freecs, who finished second in the regular season.

Rush’s Impact as a Substitute Jungler

Kt’s substitute jungler, former NA LCS Cloud9 player Lee “Rush” Yoon-jae, has been a fantastic addition to the team. His presence in this series allowed KT to exploit SKT’s weaknesses and strategies, providing an advantage. Additionally, it gave starting jungler Go “Score” Dong-bin some breathing room.

In the games where Score played, he dominated SKT, particularly with his Skarner pick in game three.

Deft’s Dominant Performance

ADC Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu played a significant role in KT’s success. His ability to maneuver around SKT’s frontline in games two and three allowed him to shred their defenses. Deft’s performance on Xayah in game three was particularly impressive.

Kt Rolster will face Afreeca Freecs this Sunday at 3am CT to determine which team will compete against KING-ZONE in the finals.
