SKT reveals new logo ahead of Worlds 2019 Group Stage

T1 Unveils New Logo Ahead of League of Legends World Championships

SK Telecom T1, now known as just “T1”, has revealed its brand new logo just before the start of the League of Legends World Championships. The old logo, featuring a red T1 with wings inside a red circle, has been replaced with a sleeker and simpler design that no longer includes a reference to SK telecom.

Remembering the Past, Looking to the Future

A new trailer was released to unveil the logo, which starts with SKT reflecting on their last appearance at Worlds. Following their infamous loss to Samsung Galaxy in Worlds 2017, SKT did not qualify for Worlds 2018. However, this year, the team secured the first seed in the Summer Split and earned their return to the tournament.

The trailer also showcases various T1 players, including the legendary mid-laner Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, before revealing the new logo at the end.

Challenging the Favorites

T1 will begin their Worlds campaign in the group stage, facing off against the tournament favorite Fnatic from the LEC. The first game is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 12 at 7am CT. The team is determined to embark on their journey towards the Summoners Cup once again, hoping for a happier ending this time.
