SKT Prevails in the Telecom War against KT, Secures Second Place in LCK

SKT Bounces Back with Victory in Telecom War

SKT rebounded from their heartbreaking loss to Griffin last week by claiming a 2-1 victory over ninth-placed KT Rolster in the second Telecom War of 2019.

In game one, KT surprised everyone by picking Draven, a champion rarely seen in Korea. Byun “Gango” Se-hoon dominated the late game, allowing KT to secure a win against SKT.

However, SKT retaliated in game two with a dominant performance from Kim “Khan” Dong-ha on Vladimir. Despite Gwak “Bdd” Bo-seong’s strong defense, SKT pulled ahead and sealed the victory.

In game three, SKT’s bot laner Park “Teddy” Jin-seong stepped up with an exceptional performance on Vladimir. Slowly but surely, SKT tightened their grip on the game until they secured a solid gold lead of over 10,000.

Although there was a tense teamfight under the Nexus at 33 minutes that delayed the inevitable for KT, Teddy swiftly finished the game with a five-man Hemoplague three minutes later.

This victory propels SKT ahead of Sandbox Gaming in the race for the LCK playoffs. On the other hand, KT now trails behind Afreeca and Gen.G in the battle to avoid relegation.

SKT’s next game is against Hanwha Life on March 17, while KT will face off against Sandbox on March 16.
