SKT issues statement regarding recent YouTube controversy

SK Telecom T1 Apologizes for Video Takedowns, Promises Content on YouTube Channel

In recent weeks, a person claiming to be a member of SK Telecom T1 requested the removal of stream highlights from the team’s players that were uploaded on YouTube. These highlights were cut from the players’ livestreams on Twitch.

SKT has responded to this issue by releasing a public statement on their social media channels.

SKT’s official statement

SKT apologized for their initial approach in taking down the videos and admitted that they did not seek help or advice from Riot Games, the legal owners of League of Legends content, in this matter. They also announced that they will review their approach and will request Riot to handle content takedowns in the future. SKT is also planning to launch their own YouTube channel in the near future.

Being one of the most popular esports teams in the world, many fans are eagerly awaiting stream highlights and other content on SKT’s official YouTube channel.
