SK Telecom T1’s Faker and Bang to Participate in Japan’s Rage 2018 Winter Summoner’s Fever Event

SK Telecom T1’s Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok is set to return to Japan after eight months since his joint livestream with Street Fighter legend Daigo Umehara. Joining him this time is SKT AD carry Bae “Bang” Jun-sik.

On November 23, Faker and Bang will be taking part in Japan’s Rage 2018 Winter Summoner’s Fever event. They will play in an exhibition match alongside eight professional players from Japan’s LJL league. The eight LJL players will be chosen through a popularity poll, allowing fans to vote for their favorite players for the exhibition match.

Bang expressed his excitement for the event on Twitter, saying, “Hello Japanese fans. I am SK Telecom T1’s AD carry Bang. I am going to be participating in Rage 2018 Winter. I am really happy and looking forward to meeting all of you. Love you guys.”

Attendees of the Summoner’s Fever event will have the opportunity to get a limited edition RAGE t-shirt signed by Faker and Bang.

Aside from the exhibition match, this year’s Summoner’s Fever will also feature other fun show matches, with popular Japanese streamers like Kane Kosugi taking part.

Rage 2018 Winter will take place at Chiba’s Makuhari Messe convention center on November 23, running from 9am to 8:30pm. Alongside Summoner’s Fever, the event will also showcase Street Fighter V and the online card game Shadowverse.

The event will be broadcast on Japanese streaming websites AbemaTV and OpenREC. It is unclear if the event will also be streamed on Twitch.

For fans interested in attending Rage 2018 Winter, tickets are now on sale and start at 3,000 yen (approx. $26.40).
