SK Gaming’s regular roster to feature nRated in week 8

SK Gaming to Play as usual despite Conflict

SK Gaming is determined to maintain their regular lineup for this week’s League Championship Series games, despite the ongoing conflict between players and management.

Christoph “nRated” Seitz will continue to play alongside his teammates in the matches, as confirmed by the official list submitted to Riot Games.

The team has been facing internal issues for weeks, leading to rumors that Seitz had been kicked off the team and his teammates were refusing to play. These rumors were initially reported by German esports news site Summoner’s Inn and later confirmed by the Daily Dot. SK Gaming management was also alleged to have threatened to fine players for underperformance. However, following the advice of Riot Games, the team’s roster is not expected to change for the rest of the season, meaning Seitz will likely continue to be part of the team.

Marksman Adrian “CandyPanda” Wübbelmann has been vocal about the complications within the team on his Twitter account.

After the recent issues, the team reportedly approached Glenn “Hybrid” Doornenbal, the support player for Gamers2, to join their roster. In an open letter to Riot Games, Gamers2 owner Carlos “ocelote” Rodríguez Santiago accused SK Gaming of trying to poach the Gamers2 Challenger roster for their SK Gaming Prime team. Rodríguez Santiago called for rules against poaching/tampering with Challenger Series players.

This isn’t the first time internal conflicts at SK Gaming have created headlines. AD carry Konstantinos “FORG1VEN” Tzortziou left the team at the end of the Spring Split due to difficulties getting along with his teammates.

SK Gaming will face off against the Unicorns of Love and Origen on July 16-17.
