SK Gaming emerges victorious against Fnatic despite multiple pauses and a game redo

The LEC Debuts with an Exciting Game Between SK Gaming and Fnatic

The first game of the newly launched European League of Legends league, the LEC, began with some technical difficulties. Latency issues arose during the match between SK Gaming and Fnatic, leading to a remake of the game. The problem was that the game was already in its mid-game stage, with SK Gaming holding a significant lead over Fnatic.

However, SK Gaming proved their dominance by defeating Fnatic once again in the rematch. This victory was crucial for them and their fans, as losing after already winning once would have raised doubts about the legitimacy of their victory. With the possibility of these teams being close in the standings later on, the outcome of that first game would have been a topic of debate.

A Close and Intense Rematch

Fnatic had the advantage of learning from their previous encounter with SK Gaming. They knew what to expect from SK’s strategy, having been soundly defeated just 30 minutes prior. The rematch proved to be a much closer game, with Fnatic exhibiting strong moments that made it seem like they had a chance to win.

The Downfall of Fnatic

Interestingly, Fnatic’s downfall can be attributed to their bot lane. Support player Zdravets “Hylissang” Iliev Galabov, known for his exceptional Pyke gameplay, chose this champion, despite having a stellar 9-1 record with him. However, SK Gaming focused all their attention on neutralizing Hylissang in order to gain an advantage.

SK’s jungler and mid laner relentlessly targeted Fnatic’s bot lane, resulting in numerous deaths for Hylissang. Even though he managed to secure some important kills with his ultimate ability, he fell too far behind in terms of gold, and SK Gaming’s lead continued to grow.

The Final Push

Eventually, SK Gaming took control of the game, securing major objectives and relentlessly pushing down the middle lane. Fnatic struggled to keep up, and the game ultimately ended in SK Gaming’s favor.
