SK dominate Misfits with Jezu’s phenomenal Kalista pick

SK Gaming Defeats Misfits Gaming, Ends LEC 2022 Spring Split on a High Note

SK Gaming achieved a noteworthy victory over Misfits Gaming in their final game of the LEC 2022 Spring Split, finishing the season with a respectable 7-11 record.

Misfits entered their last game of the LEC 2022 Spring regular season with hopes of securing a top-two finish in their own hands. However, SK, already eliminated from playoff contention with a 6-11 record, stood in their way.

In a surprising move, SK drafted Kalista for bot laner Jezu instead of one of the popular AD carry picks in the meta. Jezu’s dominance in the mid-game skirmishes gave SK a significant advantage, allowing them to build a 5,000 gold lead by the 18-minute mark.

Despite the Misfits’ effort to stall the game, SK’s compounding gold lead, along with four dragons and a Baron buff at 27 minutes, proved too much to handle. SK emerged victorious in the final teamfight, delivering a defeat to Misfits in their last game of the season.

SK finished the LEC 2022 Spring Split with a 7-11 record, showcasing improvement in the second half of the season with wins against notable playoff contenders like G2 Esports and Rogue. Their performance positions them as a serious contender for the playoffs in the upcoming LEC 2022 Summer Split.

For now, SK enters the offseason to regroup and prepare for the Summer Split.

As for Misfits, their fate in the LEC 2022 Spring Playoffs depends on the result of the match between Fnatic and Excel. Whether they engage in a tie-breaker for the second seed or fall to the third and fourth seeds, Misfits has already secured their spot in the upper bracket of the playoffs.
