ShowMaker from DWG KIA achieves top 2 ranks in Korean solo queue during LCK offseason

ShowMaker Climbs the Korean Solo Queue Ladder with Impressive Stats

While fans were focused on the 2022 Mid-Season Invitational, DWG KIA’s ShowMaker made waves on the Korean solo queue ladder. ShowMaker, who didn’t qualify for the tournament, recently reached the top ranks with his two accounts—MIDKING and DK ShowMaker. At the time of writing, MIDKING holds the first place with 1,614 LP, followed closely by DK ShowMaker with 1,576 LP according to OP.GG.

ShowMaker’s success is no surprise, as he has been dominating with his preferred champions Ahri and Vex this season. Both accounts showcase his skills with Ahri (played in 100 games) and Vex (played in 52 games). However, there are slight differences when it comes to the champions he chooses less frequently. On MIDKING, he often opts for LeBlanc and Sylas, while on DK ShowMaker, he leans towards Zoe and Yone.

ShowMaker’s solo queue statistics are exceptional. On MIDKING, he has a 63% win ratio with 205 wins and only 118 losses. On DK ShowMaker, his win ratio stands at 59% with 227 wins and 156 losses.

In previous years, ShowMaker has had great success, winning three splits in Korea since the 2020 LCK Summer Split. In 2020, DWG KIA triumphed at the World Championship. However, in 2021, the team fell short against EDward Gaming in the finals.

This season has been underwhelming for DWG KIA, leading to roster changes in preparation for the upcoming Summer Split. The team has signed Nuguri, who previously played with them in 2020.
