Seraph set to depart from CLG

Korean Top-Laner Seraph Set to Leave Counter Logic Gaming

Korean top-laner Shin “Seraph” Wooyeong is expected to depart from Counter Logic Gaming after a mixed split with the American team. Changes for CLG have been on the horizon since their challenging end to the season, narrowly avoiding relegation against Curse Academy. Shin has apparently decided to take the initiative.

Reasons for Departure

According to sources close to the organization, the player “no longer enjoyed being part of CLG” and “had no reason to stay” after the removal of their coach, Christopher “MonteCristo” Mykles. Mykles played a vital role in bringing Shin to the team and had consistently praised his skills.

Acquisition of ZionSpartan

CLG has been strongly linked to the acquisition of former Team Dignitas top-laner Darshan “ZionSpartan” Upadhyaha. Currently a free agent, Upadhyaha was involved in controversy when it was reported that CLG had attempted to poach him while he was still under contract with Team Dignitas, an allegation strongly implied by Team Dignitas manager Michael “ODEE” O’Dell on Twitter.

Future Endeavors

Shin hopes to stay in America and continue competing in the region. According to a source, LMQ could be a potential home for Shin if he could come to an agreement with the team.
