Selfmade crowned 2019 LEC Rookie of the Split

Oskar “Selfmade” Boderek named 2019 LEC Rookie of the Split

Riot has announced the winner of the Rookie of the Split award for the 2019 LEC Spring Split. Among the many talented newcomers to the league, one player stood out above the rest:

SK Gaming’s Oskar “Selfmade” Boderek. As the team’s jungler, Selfmade showcased impressive playmaking skills and fearlessness in matches against any team. His contributions helped lead SK Gaming to the playoffs, although they were ultimately defeated by the veteran roster of Splyce.

Selfmade’s remarkable performance caught the attention of the League of Legends community. He was acknowledged as the standout rookie of the split.

Aggressive playstyle and impressive statistics

Selfmade was not only one of the best rookies in the LEC, but also one of the top junglers in the league this season. His playstyle was incredibly aggressive, resulting in him obtaining the second-most kills among LEC junglers with 50 throughout the season. He also achieved an impressive 39-percent first blood rate, placing him third among junglers in the league.

His early game was particularly strong, ranking in the top three for average gold difference, experience difference, and CS difference at 10 minutes among European junglers.

Impact on the team and room for growth

Selfmade had a significant impact on how SK Gaming performed as a team. They relied heavily on him to gain an advantage in the early stages of many matches. With a kill participation rate of 74.5 percent, he became a crucial win condition for SK Gaming.

While Selfmade still has some areas in his gameplay that need improvement, with time and hard work, he has the potential to become another household name in European esports.
