Samsung Galaxy Rewards Its Roster with World Championship Winning Rings

Samsung Galaxy Players Receive Special Rings to Celebrate 2017 World Championship Victory

Samsung Galaxy has commemorated their 2017 World Championship victory by giving each of their players a special decorative ring. The rings prominently display the Samsung Galaxy logo, serving as a constant reminder of their 3-0 victory against SK Telecom T1 in the finals held in Beijing on Nov. 4, 2017.

Difficult Journey to Victory

The road to the finals was not an easy one for the Samsung Galaxy team. They started the tournament as the LCK’s third seed but managed to finish at the top of their group at Worlds. In the knockout rounds, Samsung defeated Longzhu Gaming, the number one seed from the LCK, as well as Team WE from the LPL, with a score of 3-1, securing their spot in the finals. There, they dominated SK Telecom T1 to become the champions.

Changes for Samsung Galaxy

Shortly after winning the title, Samsung Galaxy made an announcement that signaled the end of their four-year-long participation in the LCK. They sold their roster and spot in the league to KSV eSports. This move marked a new chapter for the team.

Last year’s winners, SK Telecom T1, also received a custom-made World Championship ring. Their rings featured the SKT1 logo and their Summoner Names engraved on the side, along with a small Summoner’s Cup.
