Royal Never Give Up advances to MSI 2021 finals by defeating PSG Talon

Royal Never Give Up Advances to Finals of League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational

Royal Never Give Up (RNG) has secured their spot in the finals of the 2021 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational. They remained undefeated in the group stage and continued their impressive performance in the rumble stage.

PSG Talon Puts Up a Fight

PSG Talon surprised everyone by beating out MAD Lions and Cloud9 to secure a third-place seed. Despite having a substitute AD carry, Doggo, due to visa issues, they showed that they were ready to compete with the best in the world. Doggo proved to be a valuable asset for PSG Talon, even though he had limited playing time with the team prior to the tournament.

However, RNG managed to secure the victory in a hard-fought series against PSG Talon.

An Exciting Series

The series between RNG and PSG Talon started with a long and shaky victory for RNG. In the second game, PSG Talon dominated with a strong performance from Doggo on Tristana. RNG regained their momentum in the third and fourth games, ultimately securing the win.

The Road to the Finals

With their victory, RNG now has a chance to claim their first international title in three years. They have shown great performances throughout the tournament, especially from their top and mid laners. Gala, RNG’s ADC, stepped up in the series against PSG Talon.

RNG will face the winner of the matchup between DWG KIA and MAD Lions in the finals. Ideally for RNG, it will be DWG KIA since they are the only team left in the tournament that has not defeated RNG yet.

Upcoming Matchup

DWG KIA and MAD Lions will face off on May 22 at 8am CT to determine who will face RNG in the finals.
