ROX Tigers Rise from the Shadows and Take the Lead

ROX Tigers Dominate Spring Split and Head to Champions Final

The ROX Tigers have had an exceptional Spring Split in the League of Legends, surpassing all expectations with a remarkable 34-7 game win/loss record. The team’s performance has showcased incredible teamwork and dominance. Unlike their previous year’s performance, the Tigers have maintained a strong start throughout the split and are now preparing to face off against the reigning champions, SK Telecom T1, in the upcoming Champions Final.

ROX Tigers’ Journey to the Top

The ROX Tigers entered this split with the goal of achieving the number one spot in the world. In previous seasons, they had secured high placements but always fell short against SK Telecom T1. However, this year, the Tigers have shown tremendous growth and improvement, with a new jungler, Yoon “Peanut” Wang-ho, bringing aggressive gameplay that has elevated the team’s performance. The Tigers have excelled in objective rates, leading in first blood, tower, and baron rate.

Kuro’s Rise and Weakness

Mid laner Lee “Kuro” Seo-haeng’s individual results have greatly improved thanks to the addition of Peanut. Kuro’s laning and early game have become stronger, and his participation in first blood has increased. However, one weakness in Kuro’s game is a lack of Azir usage, which could potentially harm the team’s drafting strategy. Strategies revolving around countering Azir may be crucial in the upcoming match against SK Telecom T1.

Gorilla and Pray’s Dominance

Kang “Gorilla” Beom-hyeon’s support role has continued to be dominant, while AD Carry Kim “Pray” Jong-in has excelled in enabling the team with strong engage potential. Their success lies in their performance on utility and crowd control champions. Their ability to initiate fights has allowed the team to secure kills and objectives. Pray’s proficiency with champions like Sivir and Kalista has proven to be a significant asset to the team.

Smeb’s Mastery in the Top Lane

Top laner Song “Smeb” Kyung-ho has proven himself to be the standout player on the team and the MVP of Champions Spring 2016. Smeb’s versatility in various champion roles, from mage carries to tanks, makes him a force to be reckoned with. His consistent play and ability to adapt to different situations sets him apart from other top laners.

A Well-Rounded Team

The ROX Tigers’ team dynamic is incredibly flexible, allowing them to adapt their strategies and champion picks to counter opponents. Their ability to win games through different playstyles, whether it’s engage compositions or supportive solo lane champions, makes them a formidable opponent. With a more proactive early game, thanks to Peanut’s influence, the Tigers have cemented themselves as a dominant force in both the early and late game.

Ready to Claim the Title

The ROX Tigers are determined to break their streak of second-place finishes and claim the championship title. Their exceptional performance throughout the Spring Split positions them as strong contenders against SK Telecom T1. The Tigers’ ability to win games in numerous ways sets them apart from other teams, and they are ready to become champions for the first time in their history.
