Rogue maintains 9-game winning streak with commanding victory against G2

Rogue Dominates G2 Esports, Remains Undefeated in LEC

In a stunning display of skill, Rogue emerged as the powerhouse of the LEC by defeating G2 Esports. With an undefeated 9-0 record in the 2022 LEC Spring Split, Rogue solidified their position as the top team in the league.

Rogue showcased exceptional coordination and strategy, executing impressive macro plays and securing multiple advantageous skirmishes and picks. Larssen’s expertly timed Corki package, Comp’s accurate snipes with Jinx’s ultimate ability, and Trymbi’s successful teamfight contributions were key factors in their rapid 25-minute victory. This win was particularly sweet for Rogue as it marked the first time in LEC history that they defeated G2 in the regular season.

On the other hand, G2 Enports still have some room for improvement. Despite their 6-3 record, they have yet to establish a dominant presence as seen in previous seasons. As they head into the second half of the season, G2 must discover their preferred playstyle and solidify their identity with their three new members.

In a post-game interview, Larssen expressed his satisfaction with Rogue’s success in the regular season but emphasized their goal of attaining the LEC championship. The team understands the importance of maintaining their strong performance in the weeks leading up to the split and beyond. Larssen acknowledges the strength of Fnatic, Vitality, and G2 as formidable contenders in the upcoming playoffs and aims to continue improving alongside his teammates.

Stay tuned for more thrilling LEC action when the 2022 Spring Split resumes on Friday, Feb. 11.
