Rogue dominates Top Esports in flawless first Worlds round robin

Rogue Secures Dominant Victory over Top Esports at League of Legends Worlds 2022

Rogue’s impressive performance at the Worlds 2022 group stage continues as they convincingly defeat Top Esports, a formidable LPL team. This win solidifies Rogue’s position at the top of Group C and puts them closer to the quarterfinals.

Rogue took an early lead in the match, winning teamfights across the entire map. They executed multiple Baron takes, including one at the fastest time of Worlds so far, and made late-game picks that applied significant pressure on Top. As a result, Rogue had little to no punishment while pushing down mid lane.

Jungler Malrang played a crucial role in Rogue’s success. With a flawless 3/0/8 scoreline, his late-game Dragon’s Rage ultimate on Top’s backline secured the victory and completed a perfect round robin for Rogue.

Top, on the other hand, now holds a 1-2 record, which poses early challenges for their advancement in the tournament. The team suffered a loss against DRX, making their path more difficult when the group stage resumes next weekend. If GAM Esports manages to upset DRX later today, there will be a three-way tie at the bottom of the group. However, regardless of the result, Rogue has secured first place in Group C.

Group C will return to play on October 15 for the second round of round-robin games.
