Rogue achieve astonishing comeback, equal MAD Lions for top spot in 2020 LEC Summer Split

Rogue Defeats MAD Lions, Keeps First Place Spot in LEC

In the ongoing battle for the LEC crown, Rogue emerged victorious against MAD Lions in an intense 35-minute match. This victory allows Rogue to maintain their tie for first place in the regular season standings of the 2020 League of Legends Summer Split.

In their previous encounter, MAD Lions had the upper hand with a superior draft and strong execution in teamfights. However, this time around, Rogue had the advantage, thanks to their well-thought-out team composition.

Rogue’s Strategic Composition and Early Lead

Rogue strategically chose AD carry Steven “Hans sama” Liv on Aphelios and complemented the pick with champions capable of providing great peel. On the other hand, MAD Lions went for a composition focused on diving but struggled to find engage opportunities.

Rogue showcased their signature strong early game, securing several kills before the five-minute mark. This early advantage allowed them to snowball their lead into the mid and late-game stages, outmaneuvering MAD Lions in teamfights.

Intense Finish with Infernal Soul

As the game progressed, MAD Lions began securing more kills, particularly with Marek “Humanoid” Brázda’s AP Kog’Maw. Humanoid played a crucial role as the main carry for MAD Lions, striving to lead his team to victory. The most thrilling moment of the season unfolded when both teams contested for the Infernal Soul.

Rogue’s Road to First Place

Following their brilliant backdoor play, Rogue now has a chance to secure first place in the LEC Summer Split. Their next challenge is to defeat Origen, who have already been eliminated from playoff contention.

MAD Lions, on the other hand, will face Schalke 04 in their quest to secure first place and an automatic qualification for Worlds. However, this won’t be an easy task, as Schalke 04 currently holds a six-game winning streak.
