Roccat Bid Farewell to Head Coach and Initiate ADC Auditions

Roccat Makes Changes After Disappointing Spring Split

The European esports team, Roccat, is preparing for the relegation gauntlet after a disappointing Spring Split. As they gear up for the challenge, the team has made some major changes. According to sources close to the squad, head coach Titus “Ducky” Hafner has parted ways with Roccat.

Failure to Meet Expectations Leads to Change

Before the season began, Roccat was highly regarded as the “winners of the offseason.” They were expected to secure a top-three position in the European League Championship Series. However, they were unable to live up to these expectations, which prompted the need for change.

Reasons Behind the Departure

Ducky joined Roccat in 2015, coming from their fellow LCS competitors, Copenhagen Wolves. While Roccat’s poor performance this split played a significant role in Ducky’s departure, differences of opinion between the coach and some players also contributed to the decision.

Potential Changes in the Roster

Although Ducky is the only confirmed casualty of the season so far, Roccat may also part ways with their AD Carry, Paweł “Woolite” Pruski. Woolite has faced much criticism for his performance, particularly in the final week of the split. As a possible replacement, the team is considering high elo solo queue player “EXORKK,” who has been seen duo queuing with Roccat support player Oskar “Vander” Bogdan. Additionally, Ruben “ChewedUp” Rodriguez, a U.K. player with limited competitive experience, is on trial for the AD Carry position.

Praise for Ducky and Woolite

Both Ducky and Woolite previously joined Roccat from Copenhagen Wolves. Ducky was highly praised for his strategic contributions, helping the team maintain their position in the LCS. Woolite stood out as one of the better performers in a disappointing split.

Update: Additional information about trialists has been added.
