RNG’s Wei Claims Highest KDA among All Players at MSI 2022

Royal Never Give Up dominates MSI 2022 with the highest KDA

Royal Never Give Up (RNG) has once again proven their dominance in the League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) by winning the tournament for the second consecutive year. This victory was largely thanks to their exceptional jungler, Wei, who not only contributed to the team’s success but also achieved the highest KDA in the entire tournament.

Wei finished MSI 2022 with an impressive KDA of 7.41, making him the player with the highest KDA in the tournament. It’s important to note that this number doesn’t include the group stage games before RNG’s forced rematches. Wei’s KDA surpasses that of the closest jungle competitor, T1’s Oner, by more than two points. Champions like Viego, Lee Sin, and Wukong were instrumental in Wei’s performance, and he played a crucial role in leading RNG to their victory. This is a significant improvement from Wei’s KDA of 4.77 in MSI 2021, where RNG faced off against DWG KIA.

Wei’s outstanding performance in the finals series against T1

In the finals series against T1 from the LCK, Wei showcased his exceptional skills with a KDA of 7.6, finishing with a score of 16/7/24 across all five games. This remarkable performance was mainly achieved through his mastery of Viego, a champion that played a crucial role in RNG’s journey through the LPL’s Spring Split and qualification for MSI. His impressive scores contributed significantly to his overall KDA, which was only slightly affected by a total of 43 deaths over 24 games.

RNG’s exceptional performance as a team

Aside from Wei, the other members of RNG also shined in the tournament with their high KDAs. GALA, Xiaohu, and Ming all ended with KDAs above 5.5, showcasing their individual prowess and contribution to the team’s success. Bin, although slightly behind with a KDA of 3.95, played a crucial role in initiating fights for the team.

Looking ahead to the LPL Summer Split

By defeating T1 and securing their second consecutive MSI victory, RNG has proven themselves as formidable contenders. They will now focus on carrying this momentum into the LPL Summer Split, which is set to begin in June. Though an official start date has yet to be announced, RNG is prepared to defend their title and continue their reign in the League of Legends esports scene.
