RNG dominates LGD Gaming, secures second victory in 2021 LPL Summer Split

Royal Never Give Up triumphs over LGD Gaming in dominant 2-0 victory

Royal Never Give Up (RNG) secured their second win of the 2021 LPL Summer Split today with a commanding 2-0 triumph over LGD Gaming. Despite LGD’s strong performance this split and their status as favorites in the series, RNG bounced back from a recent slump to defeat their opponents. RNG’s solo laners stood out, earning MVP votes for their exceptional performances. Xiaohu claimed the first MVP of the series thanks to his dominant Viego play, finishing the game with an impressive 8/2/6 KDA. Cryin, on the other hand, secured his MVP title in the second game with his incredible LeBlanc play, constantly outmaneuvering his opponents and luring them into unfavorable trades.

RNG’s impressive control seals the first game victory

In the first game, both teams played cautiously during the laning phase. Although LGD managed to gain a slight gold advantage through superior farming, RNG made up for it by securing important objectives. The Rift Heralds and early drakes played a crucial role in making RNG unstoppable in teamfights. RNG dictated the pace of the match, displaying excellent objective control and zoning out their opponents minutes before spawns to secure them effectively. Ultimately, RNG’s acquisition of the Ocean Dragon Soul proved to be the turning point as LGD crumbled under the overwhelming power of the neutral buff. Even with Grievous Wounds, LGD couldn’t penetrate the healing from the dragon soul, resulting in their defeat to the 2021 MSI champions in the first match.

Superior teamfight capabilities lead RNG to a 2-0 series win

In the second game, RNG once again opted for a dive-heavy composition that had brought them success in the previous match. This time, LGD took a more proactive approach in the early game and won several skirmishes, building a gold lead of up to 3,000. However, once RNG began grouping up, they neutralized their opponent’s advantage by having a superior teamfight composition. Cryin’s masterful performance on LeBlanc left LGD’s players bewildered, while his teammates took care of LGD’s frontline. With the acquisition of the Ocean Dragon Soul once again, RNG swiftly dispatched LGD, securing a 2-0 series victory.

Upcoming match: RNG vs. Invictus Gaming
