Royal Never Give Up Defeats Team WE in Intense LPL Summer Split Match

In an intense series during week nine of the 2021 LPL Summer Split, Royal Never Give Up (RNG) emerged victorious with a 2-1 win against Team WE.

RNG entered the series on an eight-series win streak, while Team WE had won their previous six games. Both teams had been performing well and climbed to the top of the standings. RNG had shown more dominance in their recent wins, making them the slight favorites in this match.

The MVP votes went to RNG’s carries, Cryin and GALA, who played exceptionally well. Cryin earned his third MVP vote with a stellar performance on Twisted Fate, while GALA received his second MVP vote after a spectacular Varus performance. They were instrumental in their team’s victory.

The first game of the series surprised many as Team WE punished RNG’s early to mid-game composition through aggressive dives, securing a win in just 29 minutes. RNG adjusted their bans and altered their composition in the second match, focusing on split-pushing. They quickly gained a gold lead and snowballed to victory, equalizing the series.

The final match was a close one, with both teams picking their comfort picks. Despite Team WE being favored due to their draft, RNG surprised with a counter pick—Malzahar. After winning important fights and securing the Infernal Dragon Soul, RNG emerged victorious with a 2-1 win.
