Riven and Vayne receive nerfs in the latest League of Legends patch (9.10)

Riven and Vayne Get Nerfed in Patch 9.10

Many League of Legends players have wondered why champions like Riven and Vayne haven’t received nerfs. But in Patch 9.10, those players will finally get their wish.

Riot Games has decided to address the frustration players face when going up against Riven. The main culprit is her ability to spam her E as a defensive move. To tackle this issue, Riot has increased the cooldown of Riven’s E by four seconds at each level. However, players will also notice a decrease in the cooldown of Riven’s Q ability.

By increasing the cooldown of Riven’s E, opponents will have more opportunities to attack her while her defensive capability is down. This should make the laning phase less frustrating, as Riven won’t be able to constantly shield herself from trades.

Vayne is also receiving nerfs to address frustrations related to her base stats. Riot acknowledges that Vayne becomes too powerful too early in the game, and her frequent invincibility makes her especially aggravating. To address this, the cooldown reduction of Vayne’s Tumble ability will now scale during her ultimate, rather than being a static 50 percent reduction. The reduction will now be 30/40/50 percent at each level. Additionally, Vayne will be impacted by the Guinsoo’s Rageblade nerfs, resulting in less overall power in her kit.

Conclusion

Riven and Vayne players may be disappointed with the upcoming nerfs, but it’s a necessary move to create a more balanced gameplay experience for all. Whether you’re facing Riven’s relentless shields or Vayne’s early power spike, these changes should help level the playing field.
